Prospecting and Recruiting

back /

In network marketing there are terms that are used that are unique or may have somewhat of a different meaning as used in other industries. Two of those terms are Prospecting and Recruiting.

Prospecting

Prospecting is perhaps the most important activity in building your Waiora business. It is the act of searching for people who show an interest in either the products and/or the business opportunity. Prospecting is the fuel that drives your network marketing organization and just like your car you can never afford to run out of fuel.

There are many ways to prospect. Each person must decide what method or methods work best for them. The important thing is that you do as much as you can as often as you can. It's important to keep a good pace and be consistent.

Here are some common ways to prospect:

  • Audios
  • Books (Are you Agewise, Antioxidant Miracle, The 45-Second Presentation)
  • Newspapers (Wellness Report)
  • Letters (sent to local entrepreneurs, physicians, chiropractors, insurance agents, etc.)
  • Post Cards
  • Advertisements
  • Sizzle Cards/Product Cards
  • Flyers
  • Cold Calls/Leads

Recruiting

Recruiting follows prospecting. It is the act of taking a prospect and converting them into a product user, a product advocate or a business builder.

Here are some common ways to recruit:

  • One-on-one meeting
  • Small-group presentation
  • Local business opportunity meeting
  • In home meeting
  • Three-way call

All of these methods are have been successfully tried and tested. If you commit to implementing these activities each month, you will be on your way to building a growing organization.
