For centuries, books have been used as a means to tell stories and circulate information from one person to another. They are perhaps one of the oldest methods of word-of-mouth marketing.
A book can be effectively used as a prospecting tool in a Distributor's warm market. It can be handed or mailed to your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others.
When using books to prospect, you don't want to pass someone an expensive, thick, hard cover book. Instead, the book needs to be soft cover, easy-to-read and relatively inexpensive. But the most important factor is the book's content. When handing someone a book, the objective is for the content to be relevant to our products or business opportunity. Your goal is for your prospect to be compelled by the book's content and create interest in Waiora.
A few books presently being used to prospect are as follows:
- Are You AgeWise? by John, L. Zenk, M.D. and Rik J Deitsch
- The Antioxidant Miracle by Lester Packer, Ph.D.
- The 45-Second Presentation That Will Change Your Life by Don Failla
These books can be found at Waiora's sales tools provider Sound Concepts at www.healthyagingtools.com.
The process when using a book to prospect is as follows:
Step 1 - Invite them to read the first 20-30 pages. When doing this, say you recently started your own business OR you've been reading about some incredible healthy aging products and nutrients and would they have any interest in learning more about them.
Step 2 - Follow-up within 48 hours. See if they found the information in the book useful. Ask them if they would have further interest in the products or in taking control of their life. If they don't, kindly ask for the book back because you have promised a copy to someone else and all your other copies are out.
In some countries like Japan, books are the most preferred method of sharing information and building a network marketing business.
